Aquafresh iso-active®
works beyond paste
- For around 90% of people, the cause of their oral malodor originates in the mouth [Delanghe, 1997] and results from bacterial activity which produces volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) such as hydrogen sulfide, and methyl mercaptan and dimethyl sulfide. [Tonzetich, 1977; Awano et al., 2002]
- Reduction of the oral bacterial content, in particular anaerobic bacteria on the dorsal tongue, is the most effective way to manage oral malodor. [Scully et al, 1994; American Dental Association, 2003]
- The effectiveness of Aquafresh iso-active® compared with ordinary toothpaste* has been shown in two head-to-heal clinical trials:
- Aquafresh iso-active® removed significantly more bacteria from the oral cavity than ordinary toothpaste* [Bosma et al, 2008]
- Aquafresh iso-active® reduced VSC concentrations by up to 41% more than ordinary toothpaste* over a 7-hour period after brushing. [Newby et al, 2008]
