AQUAFRESH ENAMELOCK FORMULA

Aquafresh Enamelock Formula: helps maximise enamel strength
- The cariostatic effects of fluoride toothpastes are well established, [ten Cate, 1999] but the performance of fluoride within different toothpastes is not the same. [Beiswanger et al, 1989; Bowen et al, 1995]
- Dentifrices can be formulated to provide improved remineralization and fluoride uptake without increasing fluoride content. [Beiswanger et al, 1989]
- The choice of formulation ingredients, fluoride salt and pH can affect fluoride bioavailability at the enamel-oral fluid surface, [Bowen et al, 1995; White and Faller, 1986; Friberger, 1975; ten Cate, 1997] which is of critical importance in the dynamics of demineralization and remineralization. [Ekstrand, 1987]
- New Aquafresh Enamelock Formula has been developed to help maximise fluoride bioavailability by including a modified gum system with carbopol to improve fluoride delivery [Butler et al, 2009] and by minimising the ingredients that inhibit fluoride release and uptake.
- In situ and in vitro studies have shown that Enamelock Formula promotes improved enamel strength and fluoride uptake. [Newby et al, 2008; Lippert et al, 2009]
- Taste and consistency preference can significantly increase brushing time. [Emling et al, 1981]
- Enamelock Formula retains the great taste of Aquafresh, which consistently scores highly in taste preference studies. [GSK data on file]
- Aquafresh Enamelock Formula provides effective daily oral health protection for the whole family.
