D. Churchley, F. Lippert, A. Portieri and J. Alton. Summary: Terahertz Pulsed Imaging (TPI) is a potentially useful, non-destructive imaging technique for quantifying both the depth of caries lesions, and the subsequent changes in mineral content due to remineralization.

R.J. Willson. Summary: Scanning electron microscopy lent itself well for the qualitative characterisation of artificial caries lesions in enamel. Using this method it was found that enamel treatment with a solution of sodium tripolyphosphate significantly inhibited the formation and progression of the caries lesion.
